Donald "Woody" Woodworth served in the US Marine Corps for 21 years. He served during WWII, the Korean War, and Vietnam. He was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Medal, which is the highest non-combat decoration awarded for heroism in 1953. 

Woody's grandson, Justin Peterson, proudly followed in his grandson's footsteps and became a captain in the US Marine Corps. He was killed in action on October 1st, 2006 in Iraq. 

Woody continues to be very active in the Northville VFW 4012 and the Marine Corp League.
