Larry graduated from Plymouth High School in 1955. While still 17, he enlisted through the Navy's "Kiddie Cruise" program, which allowed young men to enlist after graduation, serve three years instead of four and be discharged around the age of 21. He spent his next three years on the USS Merrick as a storekeeper working in the supply office.

Larry returned to Plymouth, married Henrietta Janicki, built a career as a grocery store manager and raised six sons. We honor his service to our country and thank him for the example he's set as a father and grandfather.
