Melvin Miller Nield served in the Navy as an officer WW II based in Pearl Harbor. His father, James A Nield served in WW I in France. Son Jim Nield and Martha are Northville residents and their children Stacey Nield Brugeman and Jeff Nield are Northville High School graduates along with their spouses Dan Brugeman and Amy Hojnacki Nield.
