Robert E. Osborn was stationed at Rheam Field, San Ysidro, California with the Bureau of Aeronautics.

Mr. 'Oh', as he was called later in life, lived most of his life in the greater Detroit area, graduating from Mackenzie High School. He retired from Michigan Bell Telephone Company and became the Director of Public Works for the City of Livonia under the McNamara Administration. Along with two partners in the 1960's, he developed the Oasis Golf Center and Golf Dome located in Northville Township.

Mr. 'Oh's' sense of humor and his jokes, with accent, were well known. When Bob Osborn gave his word or handshake, there was never a fear that the promise would not be carried through, completely. Mr. 'Oh" cherished his family and his friends.

He is dearly missed.
