James H. Snow (Jim) entered the United States Army and served proudly in the Vietnam War beginning in 1969, immediately after graduating from Western Michigan University. His entire tour of duty was spent in Vietnam in the infantry where he made more than 100 chopper assaults for which he received two Bronze Stars, one for valor. After electing to extend his tour by two months (19 months total spent in Vietnam), he was honorably discharged and returned to Southeast Michigan where he has remained his entire life.

Jim has been married to Barbara for 46 years and built a family that includes three children and seven grandchildren who all live nearby and are all proud and grateful for his service.
