Drafted in 1968 while in his first year of law school at the University of Michigan, Dave served as Ft. Myers Headquarters Company in Washington DC as the company clerk. Initially trained as a chaplain's assistant, his assignment was changed to the Department of Defense and Headquarters Company. Dave's experience taught him the value of honesty, discipline and respect.
