John Gioventu was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1966.  He was stationed at Fort Knox, Kentucky and Fort Carson, Colorado where he trained until being deployed to Vietnam later that year.  He proudly served in the First Calvary defending and delivering supplies between An Khe and Qui Nhon.
