    Executive Director’s Update — August 2026

As we roll into the heart of late summer, our community’s momentum isn’t slowing down one bit. July was packed with incredible energy, strong community partnerships, and record-setting turnout across our events. Here is a look back at what we’ve accomplished together and what’s happening around Northville.

Celebrating Summer Traditions: Fourth of July Parade

This year’s Independence Day Parade was a resounding success! To encourage broader community involvement, we introduced reduced entry fees this year—and the response was incredible. Seeing so many new groups, local businesses, and families step up to participate made the parade vibrant and uniquely Northville.

We are currently reviewing all the community feedback we’ve gathered so far. As with all our flagship events, our goal is continuous improvement to ensure this cherished tradition stays fresh, seamless, and fun for years to come.

Building Bridges: Networking & Grand Openings

Collaboration across town borders made for a busy, impactful month of networking and business celebrations:

    • Rising Professionals Event: We partnered with our friends at the Novi and Plymouth Chambers for a fantastic joint Rising Professionals gathering at Great White Buffalo Brewing Co. It was an awesome turnout full of fresh ideas and energetic networking.

    • Northville Parks & Recreation Grand Opening: We were thrilled to participate in the official Grand Opening of the new Parks and Recreation Building on Beck Road. This fantastic facility is going to be a true anchor for our community’s wellness and recreation.

    • Coffee Connection at Northville Point Senior Living: Thank you to everyone who joined us for a packed morning of lively conversation and warm hospitality at Northville Point Senior Living.

    • Insurish Ribbon Cutting: Congratulations to Insurish! We had a fantastic turnout to welcome them and celebrate their official ribbon cutting.

Farmers Market & Chamber Operations on the Move

The Northville Farmers Market continues to be a bustling hub of activity every week, largely thanks to a great stretch of summer weather. While heavy heat and wildfire smoke impacted vendor and shopper participation during two specific market weeks, the overall feedback from both community members and vendors has been overwhelmingly positive.

Take Your Chamber Visit Outdoors! To stay fully connected with our community and local vendors, the Chamber team is taking operations on the road. Every Thursday during market hours, Olivia, Maddy, and I will be working directly from the Farmers Market. Whether you have a question about membership, want to drop off business materials, or just want to stop by to say hello, come find us at the market!

    Summer in the Ville Series:

This collaborative series sponsored by the Downtown Development Authority, Chamber of Commerce, and local businesses has been a real success this summer. There is something happening Tuesday through Sunday in Town Square, and these events have been well attended. The concert series was cancelled due to air quality for one weekend in July. Thanks to all the performers, sponsors, and patrons who make this series so popular

Thank you for your ongoing support and commitment to making Northville a thriving place to live, work, and do business. Enjoy the rest of your August!
