Happy New Year and warm greetings from the Northville Chamber of Commerce!
Indeed, these are exciting times to live and work in Northville! I hope the holidays were good for your business and you were able to spend time with family and friends. My “journey” back to Northville has been very enjoyable as I have been able to reconnect with friends and former students, and enjoy being “home”. Kudos to our Event Planner, Maddy, and our good friends and partners, Kate and Stacy, with the Northville Downtown Development Authority, for working hard to create an authentic Northville Hometown Holiday experience in November. A special shout-out to our friends and members at the Northville Tipping Point Theater for an excellent production of “A Very Northville Christmas.” The hard-working cast and staff really made this production shine, and having spent many years in Northville, the characterizations and shout-out to local businesses gave me quite a chuckle.
A stroll through Northville or a cruise through the township lately reflects a great deal of new construction, infrastructure improvements, and work being done at Ford Field and the river walk. One of my favorite places to walk in the Winter is the Mill Race Village, which is one of the “gems” of our community. If you are not familiar with the Mill Race Village, take a walk through there and get a reminder of our history and heritage. The walkability of our community has improved greatly in recent years, and I encourage you to get out on foot, bike, or motor car to explore our vibrant community and our local businesses.
As we begin 2026 together, we at the chamber are excited to welcome our newest members, Flawless Beauty Ink, VEG ER for Pets Northville, Setry Homes, & Chicane, and welcome back our renewing memberships. The Chamber staff has been working hard on planning the 4th Annual Northville Awards Dinner. This year, our awards dinner will be hosted by the Genitti family at Genitti’s, and our Awards Ceremony will be held in the sanctuary of the First Presbyterian Church, a short stroll down the street from Genitti’s. The chamber is grateful for the support of these long-time chamber members in supporting our Northville Community Awards Dinner. This year, we will be adding three new awards, including a first-time-ever educator of the year award in partnership with Northville Public Schools. We look forward to literally “rolling out the red carpet” to our awardees and attendees on February 5th. During the Awards Dinner, the Chamber will also host an auction, and members are invited to donate prizes or a gift basket.
I look forward to connecting with you at an upcoming Coffee Connection or After-Hours event and hearing how the Northville Chamber of Commerce can continue to better support your business and our wonderful community.
