Celebrating Community and Growth in Northville
Dear Chamber Members:
As we move into the heart of the summer season, I’m thrilled to share some wonderful highlights and exciting updates from our Chamber’s ongoing efforts. May was a very busy month at the Chamber!
Our annual Memorial Day Parade was a proud moment for Northville, brought to life with the heartfelt participation of the American Legion and VFW. We are grateful for our sponsors and the participation from chamber members. It’s always inspiring to come together and honor those who have served our country. Complementing this spirit, our Veterans Banner Program featuring images of Northville veterans continues to proudly display their stories throughout the city, reminding us of the courage and dedication that define our community. We are grateful to the City of Northville for their support in displaying the banners and for their collaborative effort to work together to make this program very special. We also hosted the 39th Annual Northville Flower Sale on Friday and Saturday of Memorial Day weekend in Downtown Northville. Despite a rainy day on Saturday, the event was very successful, and we are grateful to all of our vendors, customers, and musicians who came out to support this event.
The energy at the Northville Farmers Market has been extraordinary! Every Thursday through October, residents and visitors enjoy fresh local produce and more. The first four markets in May were blessed with beautiful weather and a fantastic turnout. Thanks to the redesigned market layout by Maddy Wise, the flow and experience have been smoother and more enjoyable than ever. To better serve you, the Chamber team will be on-site at the market every Thursday while our main office is temporarily closed. We will conduct Chamber Business from our booth at the Market and maintain high visibility with our Market customers and vendors.
Summer kicked off with a bang during Summer in the Ville, our collaborative program with the Downtown Development Authority. Last Friday’s concert featuring the talented NHS Jazz Band was a wonderful success, drawing a great crowd despite the venue change to Old Church Square due to nearby construction. A special thank you goes out to our Premier Sponsors, Dick Scott and Toll Brothers, whose generosity makes events like these possible.
Behind the scenes, the Chamber has been working diligently to boost our Farmers Market visibility and community spirit. We are excited about our new merchandising efforts, including vibrant branded clothing and eye-catching tents that represent both the market and the Chamber. These efforts are helping us build a stronger, more connected Northville brand.
Thank you for your continued support and participation. Together, we’re creating memorable experiences and a thriving community that we can all be proud of.
Warmest regards,
Jim Cracraft
