    The Northville Chamber of Commerce presents:
    MILITARY AND VETERAN BANNER PROGRAM

    Recognizing and honoring brave individuals who are serving or have served in the United States Armed Forces. 

    The Program: 
    NORTHVILLE MILITARY AND VETERAN BANNER PROGRAM
    The Northville Chamber of Commerce is proud to present the Military and Veteran Banner program that recognizes and honors those brave individuals who are serving or who have served in the United State Armed Forces. Banners will display a photo of the service person, as well as their name, dates of service and branch of the United States Armed Forces. The banner will be hung in downtown Northville during the months of May and November, to celebrate Memorial Day and Veterans Day, respectively.

    BANNER PROGRAM QUALIFICATIONS
    To qualify for the military and Veteran Banner Program, the following criteria must be met: The honoree is an active duty member of the United States Armed Forces, or the honoree was honorably discharged member of the United States Armed Forces.

    About the Banner: 
    BANNER STYLE AND DISPLAY
    Each banner is double sided, full color 24"x48" and custom designed with a image of the honoree. Upon removal at the end of November, the banner will be available for pick up and will be eligible to be used in the following year.

    BANNER LOCATION
    Banners will be located throughout Downtown Northville during the months of May and November.

    SUBMISSION DEADLINE AND PRICE
    The cost to purchase a banner is $250. At the completion of the program, at the end of November, the banner will be returned to you, or you may rehang the banner each year for $50.
    Deadline for the May, 2022 installation is April 1, 2022. Space is limited; we accept submissions on a First come First serve basis and if needed, your submission will place you on a waiting list for the November 2022 installation.

    DONATE
    Make a donation to the program to sponsor a veteran selected by the local VFW and/or American Legion. All donations will be used to create banners for heroes or families unable to do so on their own.

    Photo Submission: 
    PHOTO SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
    Photo of veteran must be in uniform, and one individual per banner, no exceptions, to be displayed on the banner (all hardcopy photos will be returned).
    A 5" x 7" digital photo saved as a JPG or PNG at 600 dots per inch resolution minimum.
    Email photo to the Chamber lindseybutzin@northville.org. If you do not have a digital photo please bring a 5" x 7" or larger portrait-style photo or mail the photo to the Northville Chamber of Commerce once and we will digitize the photo and return the photo to you in an appropriate time frame.

    PROOF
    A proof of the banner will be emailed to you to confirm the spelling of the name, branch, years of service or era of service and rank are all correct. If you do not provide an email address you will not have the opportunity to see a proof and therefore forfeit that opportunity. However, the Chamber staff will compare banner proof to application to ensure accuracy. Please make sure your application is correct. 

    APPLICATION MUST INCLUDE:
    1) Completed form
    2) Photograph of veteran or service member in military uniform
    3) Include additional biography information for your veteran or service member for both the Biography Booklet (limited to 150 words) and the website (500 words). Feel free to write your information on a separate piece of paper, or type in an email to lindseybutzin@northville.org.  View the biographies of the honorees at http://northville.org/military-banner-program.
    4) Payment, each banner is $250.00.  Banner(s) will not be processed until payment is received in full.  Online applications must be paid for at time of application with credit card.
