Gerald Carr Presley (1924-2016) graduated from aircraft maintenance school and served in the Army Air Force during WWII. Jerry was stationed in the Pacific Theater during the Battle of Luzon, earning four medals for his service. He briefly stayed in the Air Force after WWII and then served in the Michigan Air National Guard during the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He retired at age 59 as an E9-1st Senior Master Sargent of the 191st Camron Squadron.

Jerry married the love of his life, Marjorie Geranen, while on a three-day leave in 1945. Married 71 years, they raised six children and enjoyed 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He lived a full life and served his God and country well.
