History Hike of Maybury State Park

Join in learning how Maybury State Park became a State Park.

Prior to being Maybury State Park, the 944 acres were home to a tuberculosis Sanitorium.

Meet at the Trailhead building and find out all about Maybury from the very beginning.

The hike is free, however, all vehicles must have a Recreation Passport to enter the park.

Recreation Passports can be purchased when renewing your license plates, at any State Park Office during regular office hours (8 am – 4:30 pm), or at Maybury Park’s self-serve kiosk located on the right immediately past the entrance booth.  (8 Mile Entrance)  For further information on recreation passes, visit Recreation Passport
